It's like Dorothy Parker once said, "I hate to write, but love having written." Any contest involving work is not a good idea. Love reading your blog though. We should be paying you!

My Morning Jacket not overrated? Wow. I read a review of the new CD in the Courant and it was so filled with pretty adjectives that I considered buying it. File this fucking thing under "Critic Wants To Appear Cool." A couple of days later I borrowed a copy and put it on my iPod, and you know what? ... It sucks. Really sucks. The Courant reviewer had me expecting something raw and cranking, kind of like the Drive-By Truckers. Wrong-O! I was reminded of Glen Campell, the Pina Colada Song and some other '70s soft-rock horseshit. And why is that fucking singer imitating Prince?

Corrections?!? Adam, sounds like you need a good copy editor. I can't believe you've been spouting falsehoods and lying to us all this time.
Just when I was really starting to dig all this stuff. . .wow, this blog really DOES hurt.

Maybe someone will colorize Psycho for you, and you'll be able to compare it to VV's version. Too bad Ted Turner's pretty much given up on that...

:)
enjoying your blog, adam!
